Sam Maynard

Sam Maynard is the Director of Environmental Risk Assessment at AstraZeneca and serves as the Vice-President of IBERA. They previously held positions as a Senior Environmental Risk Assessor and Principal Environmental Risk Assessor at AstraZeneca from 2018 to 2023. Prior to that, Sam worked as an Ecological Risk Assessor at Syngenta from 2012 to 2018 and as a Study Director in Aquatic Ecotoxicology at Huntingdon Life Sciences from 2006 to 2009. They began their career as an Aquatic Ecotoxicologist at CEMAS from 2009 to 2012. Sam earned a BSc (Hons) in Marine Biology from the University of Portsmouth between 2002 and 2005.
