Sandra Rocha

Sandra Rocha has extensive experience in the fields of science communication, research, and academia. Currently serving as the Science Communication Director at AstraZeneca, Sandra is responsible for the science communication strategy for Early Development in Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolism. Previous roles include Laboratory Manager at AstraZeneca and Associate Professor in Biophysical Chemistry at Chalmers University of Technology. Sandra's research experience encompasses hereditary spherocytosis, protein misfolding, amyloid fibril formation, and drug delivery systems, with a PhD earned at the Max-Planck Institute for Colloids and Interfaces. Additionally, Sandra has held various research positions and has supervised master's and PhD students at institutions like the University of Porto and Oslo University Hospital.
