Satu Mäkinen is currently the Head of HR for EUCAN & International within the Rare Disease Unit at AstraZeneca. They previously served as a Global HR Business Partner for R&D Biopharmaceuticals at AstraZeneca from 2019 to 2024 and held the position of Reward Director for Europe and International from 2015 to 2019. Prior to this, Satu was an HR Manager at Tieto and Scope Impact, as well as a Lecturer at the University of Tampere. They earned a Master's degree in Economics, Management, and Organisations from the University of Tampere in 2003.
