Sean O'Brien

Sean O'Brien is a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca, where they lead projects focused on allogeneic cell therapy development, including gene editing and process optimization. Previously, they served as a Scientist at Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc., generating stable cell lines for HIV-1 studies and developing innovative models for viral research. Sean earned a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Cornell University and a BA with honors in Physics from Williams College. Their early research experience includes optimizing protein pathways and developing assays during their tenure as a Graduate Student Researcher at Cornell.
