Shira Perl

Shira Perl is the Executive Medical Director at AstraZeneca, a position they have held since 2023. Previously, they served as a Senior Medical Director and Medical Director of Diabetes at AstraZeneca from 2014 to 2019. Shira was also a Staff Clinician at the Center for Human Immunology, NIH from 2008 to 2014, and a Clinical Fellow in Endocrinology at NIDDK from 2005 to 2008. Earlier in their career, Shira worked as an MD at Soroka Medical Center in 1996-1997. Shira earned their MD degree from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from 1991 to 1998.
