Shruti Barker is a Senior Counsel in Legal Oncology at AstraZeneca, focusing on Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, compliance, and fraud and abuse. With over five years of experience as a health care attorney at Covington & Burling LLP, they navigated complex regulations for a diverse client base, including pharmaceutical manufacturers and state governments. Shruti served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Rudolph Contreras in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government and Philosophy at James Madison University. Dedicated to pro bono work, Shruti has assisted underserved individuals with immigration and landlord-tenant issues while also representing conservation organizations.
