Siddique Amin

Senior Scientist (peptide Chemistry)

Siddique Amin is currently a Senior Scientist in Peptide Chemistry at AstraZeneca since March 2025. Previously, Siddique was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Newcastle University from October 2024 to March 2025, focusing on peptide chemistry and encoded libraries under funding from Cancer Research Horizons. Siddique also gained experience as a Summer Research Intern at the University of Dundee in June 2019, working in Professor Alessio Ciulli's lab, and at the MRC Protein Phosphorylation and Ubiquitylation Unit in summer 2018, where the development of an activity-based probe for E3 ubiquitin ligases was undertaken. Siddique holds a PhD in Chemical Biology from Newcastle University (2020-2024), a Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of Glasgow (2019-2020), and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Dundee (2015-2019).
