Simon Lucas

Simon Lucas is currently an Associate Principal Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry at AstraZeneca, having previously worked as a Research Scientist and an Industrial Placement Student within the same company. Prior to AstraZeneca, Simon was a Senior Research Scientist at GSK, where they completed an Industrial PhD focused on developing a chemical probe and engaged in various mentoring and organizational roles. Simon's academic background includes a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde and an MChem from the University of York, where they were recognized with a Nuffield Vacation Bursary during a summer placement.
