Simon Perkins

Simon Perkins is an Associate Director of Proteomics Informatics in Oncology at AstraZeneca, where they apply over 11 years of experience in software engineering and data science. Simon began their career as a Student Research Scientist at sanofi-aventis, later working as a Proteomics & Mass Spectrometry Bioinformatician at the Paterson Institute for Cancer Research. They served as an Analyst Programmer at Tessella before joining the University of Liverpool as a Data Scientist and Software Engineer, where they contributed to various projects involving proteomics and data visualization. Simon holds a BSc in Biochemistry and an MSc in Bioinformatics from The University of Manchester.
