Stefan Kavanagh is currently the Director of Oncology Discovery Safety Science at AstraZeneca, where they have served since 2021, after holding the role of Discovery Safety Scientist since 2005. In their extensive career at AstraZeneca, they lead safety assessments on Discovery projects from target selection through to clinical development. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Stefan was a Study Director at Inveresk Research from 2000 to 2005. They earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Toxicology from The University of Birmingham in 1999.
