Stefan Platz

Stefan Platz is the Senior Vice President and Head of Clinical Pharmacology & Safety Sciences in BioPharmaceuticals R&D at AstraZeneca. They lead a global organization of approximately 600 colleagues responsible for non-clinical safety assessment, bioanalysis, and clinical pharmacology. Prior to this role, Stefan served as the Global Head of Drug Safety and Metabolism at AstraZeneca and held a leadership position in drug discovery support toxicology at Boehringer Ingelheim. They also previously worked as the Global Head Toxicology Project Leader at Hoffmann-La Roche.
