Stephen Olson is currently the Senior Medical Director of Early Clinical Development in Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolism (CVRM) at AstraZeneca. With a passion for renal drug development, they have two years of experience in New Products and Early Pipeline Indications, focusing on optimizing drug availability for patients. Prior to their industry role, Stephen was an academic nephrologist for over 15 years, contributing to over 30 high-impact publications and developing numerous IRB-approved research protocols. Stephen's extensive experience also includes consulting for the US Army and serving on various medical review committees. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Northwestern University.
