Steven Stanton

Steven Stanton is a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca, focusing on advanced oligonucleotide process chemistry. They hold a First Class MChem degree in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry from the University of St Andrews. Previously, Steven completed a PhD at the University of Bristol, where they specialized in Rh-catalysed ring expansions of cyclopropanes. In addition, they gained experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stanford University, exploring charge-altering releasable transporters for mRNA delivery. Earlier in their career, Steven served as a student in various placement roles, including industrial placements in medicinal chemistry and organic synthesis.
