Sunil Verma

Sunil Verma currently holds the position of Senior Vice President and Global Head of the Oncology Franchise at AstraZeneca since August 2019, where also serves as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Oncology, Medical, and previously as Vice President and Global Clinical Head of Breast Cancer. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Sunil Verma was the Medical Director at Tom Baker Cancer Centre and held the role of Head and Professor in the Department of Oncology at the University of Calgary from January 2016 to August 2019. Additionally, Sunil Verma served as Medical Director of the Louise Temerty Breast Cancer Centre and as a Medical Oncologist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre from July 2004 to December 2015, and holds an Associate Professorship at the University of Toronto. Sunil Verma's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Alberta, a Masters of Science in Medical Education from the University of Southern California, and a Clinical and Research Fellowship in Breast and Lung Cancer from the University of Toronto.
