Thomas Leischner is an accomplished chemist with extensive experience in both research and industry. Starting with a research internship at Bayer in 2015, Thomas progressed to significant roles, including a Senior Scientist position at AstraZeneca since October 2023. Previous experiences include serving as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Leibniz-Institut für Katalyse e. V. from November 2020 to October 2021, focusing on Lewis Acid catalyzed reactions in collaboration with Symrise AG, and a similar role at Universität Wien from November 2021 to October 2023, concentrating on immunosuppressants and novel reagents for mass spectrometry. Thomas completed a PhD with Prof. M. Beller, exploring novel catalytic applications and conducting projects that involved partnerships with Bayer Crop Science.
