Tia Turner currently serves as a Senior Scientist in Animal Sciences & Technologies at AstraZeneca since February 2022. Previously, Tia held various roles at Champions Oncology, Inc. from September 2018 to February 2022, including Supervisor of Surgical Services and Team Lead for Model Development and Characterization, focusing on patient-derived xenografts in immune deficient mice. Earlier experience includes an IRTA Fellowship at NIH from January 2007 to January 2013 and a Laboratory Technician position at Ke'aki Technologies within the US Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense, where development of medical countermeasures against chemical threat agents was a primary focus. Tia earned an Associate of Arts degree from The Community College of Baltimore County and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stevenson University.
