Tim Slidel

Tim Slidel serves as the Director of IO Discovery within Oncology Data Science at AstraZeneca since October 2019, leading a team focused on advancing the company’s immuno-oncology portfolio through innovative bioinformatics, data science, and AI methodologies. Prior to this role, Tim held the position of Senior Informatics Scientist at MedImmune from January 2009 to October 2019 and served as Director at Insilico Solutions Ltd. from April 2005 to October 2019. Additional experience includes a role as External Consultant at Biosystems Informatics Institute and as a Senior Scientist at Inpharmatica Ltd. Tim’s academic background includes a Ph.D. in Protein Structure Crystallography and Computational Analysis from UCL and a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biophysics and Computational Science from the University of Leeds.
