Ujwal Patil

Ujwal Patil, PhD, is currently the Associate Director of Continuous Downstream/Next-Gen Manufacturing at AstraZeneca, where they focus on advancing bioprocess innovation. Previously, Ujwal held various roles, including Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca, where they led downstream technology development and achieved significant reductions in resource use. Ujwal's earlier experience includes positions at Boehringer Ingelheim and Zytex, where they specialized in both upstream and downstream process development for biopharmaceuticals. They earned their PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Houston and have a strong foundation in bioprocess technology from their M.Tech at the Institute of Chemical Technology.
