Ulrike Künzel

Ulrike Künzel is an Associate Principal Scientist in the Functional Genomics team at AstraZeneca, where they conduct assay development and CRISPR/Cas9 screens for oncology and other disease areas. They previously held roles as a Senior Research Scientist and Associate Director at AstraZeneca, as well as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Associate at Evotec, leading projects in CRISPR genome engineering. Ulrike gained early experience as a Student Assistant at various institutions, including AMSilk GmbH and LMU Munich. They earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Biochemistry from Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München and a Ph.D. in Pathology from the University of Oxford.
