Eric Conaway has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Eric worked at Astrobotic from 2019, initially as a Thermal Engineer and later as the Lead Engineer of the Thermal Team. Prior to that, Eric worked at Curtiss-Wright Corporation for a significant period, starting in 2001. During their time there, they served as a Product Development Engineer, leading the development of a test facility for a nuclear reactor coolant pump and managing the fluid-thermal team for the development of pumping systems for subsea oil & gas wells. Eric also worked as an Analytical (Fluids) Engineer, where they conducted fluid dynamics design and analysis, managed the construction of a pump development test facility, and established experimental facilities for motor fluid flow performance testing. In addition, Eric served as an Application Engineer, assisting with customer inquiries, business proposals, and strategic planning. Before joining Curtiss-Wright, they worked at Pratt & Whitney as an Analytical Engineer, focusing on aerodynamic design and analysis of turbines for rocket engine turbo-pumps. Eric started their career as a Graduate Student at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, conducting research and coursework in the field of turbomachinery.

Eric Conaway has a solid education history that spans from 1993 to 1999. Eric began their studies at Penn State University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Science and Mechanics. This program lasted for five years, from 1993 to 1998. Following their undergraduate studies, Eric attended the Von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics from 1998 to 1999. During their time at the institute, they completed a Diploma Course with a focus on Turbomachinery.
