Tom Garvey's work experience includes various roles in different companies.
Tom started their career at JPL (NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory) in 2001 as a Systems Integration Engineer and worked there until 2005.
In 2006, they joined Raleigh America as a Product Manager for Diamondback Fitness and stayed there until 2008.
From 2008 to 2011, Tom worked at SpaceX as the Dragon Ground Software Team Lead.
In 2011, they joined Data Science Automation as a Project Engineering Manager and worked there until 2016.
From 2016 to 2019, they worked at Equipment & Controls, Inc. as a Project Manager for Facility Automation.
Currently, Tom Garvey is employed at Astrobotic since 2019, holding the position of Spacecraft Operations and Ground Segment Manager.
Tom Garvey has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University. In addition to their degree, they also obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in June 2015. Tom also holds certifications in LabVIEW architecture, professional instruction, and TestStand architecture from National Instruments. The specific months and years of obtaining the National Instruments certifications are unknown.
