Florian George

Embedded Software Team Leader at Astrocast

Florian George has worked in the software engineering field since 2006. Florian started their career as a Software Developer for Jean-Maurice Burri in 2006, and then moved on to European Space Agency as a Software Engineer in 2007. In the same year, they joined EPFL as a Software Engineer, responsible for the software for the ground and space system on the SwissCube spacecraft project. Florian then worked as a Software Engineer for EATOPS in 2007, and then moved to Swiss Timing in 2012. Finally, they joined Astrocast in 2015, where they held the roles of Flight Software Team Leader and Head of Mission Software.

Florian George obtained their Master's Degree in Computer Science from Université de Neuchâtel in 2010. From 2003 to 2007, they studied Computer Science at HE-Arc Ingénierie, where they earned their Ingénieur HES degree. In May 2022, Florian George obtained a Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org.
