Giovanni Donelli

Giovanni Donelli is the Co-Founder and Head of Product at Astropad. Giovanni was previously a software engineer at Apple Inc. from October 2007 to November 2011. During their time at Apple, Giovanni co-invented the Safari reader functionality and built the OS X parental controls' web filter. Giovanni also redesigned the OS X time zone preference pane for SnowLeopard and re-engineered the OS X desktop preference pane and the system clock for SnowLeopard. In Lion, they built the Mac OS X login screen in EFI. Giovanni has also maintained a variety of components, such the dashboard widgets, OS X energy saver pref pane, OS X battery menu extra and other desktop accessories. Prior to working at Apple, Giovanni was a software engineer intern from June 2006 to October 2006. Giovanni is also an independent app developer and has been running their own company, Donelleschi, since January 2001.

Giovanni Donelli has a Masters in Computer Science from Università di Bologna and was a Visiting Scholar in Computer Science at University of California, Santa Cruz.
