J Cooke

J Cooke is an accomplished executive in the aerospace and satellite communications sectors, currently serving as the VP of Programmes & Engineering Delivery at Astroscale since July 2023. As CEO of Azuries Space Mission Studios since August 2018, J Cooke identified a market gap for ultra-low latency satellite services targeted at high-frequency trading, leading to the development of innovative IP and a satellite constellation solution. Previously, J Cooke held the position of Director of Engineering at Avanti Communications Group plc from September 2006 to December 2018, overseeing the system definition and integration of GEO space networks with extensive budget responsibilities. Additional experience includes roles at Airbus Defence and Space, QinetiQ, and the UK Ministry of Defence, encompassing various project management and engineering tasks. J Cooke holds a Master’s degree in Space Studies from the International Space University and a Bachelor’s degree in Astrophysics from the University of Wales.
