Chief Pilot International - Director of Safety at ASU

Alexander Emmel has worked in the aviation industry since 1999. Alexander's first role was as a Commercial Pilot Helicopter and Certified Flight Instructor at Pompano Helicopters Inc., where they provided flight instruction to primary private and commercial pilot students, as well as CFI's, and conducted aerial photography, tours, wildlife population control, and Electronic News Gathering (ENG). In 2002, they moved to SP-Helikopter Service as a Commercial Pilot Helicopter. In 2003, they began working at Alsalam Aircraft Company as a SAR Specialist Bell 212/412 Technical Support Program, where they provided duties as a Search and Rescue Specialist for the Bell Helicopter TSP program with the Royal Saudi Air Force, and conducted Pilot and Paramedic training and implementation of a Over Water Crash Survical course. In 2004, they joined HELI-FLIGHT GmbH & Co. KG as Compliance Monitoring and Safety Manager and Member of the Extended Executive Board, as well as a Commercial Helicopter Pilot. Finally, in 2018, they began working at Aviation Specialties Unlimited as the Chief Pilot International and Director of Safety.

Alexander Emmel has a diverse educational background. In 2021, they completed Night Vision Imaging Systems Test Pilot Training at the National Test Pilot School. In 2014, they attended the Robinson Helicopter Company's Robinson Helicopters Factory Safety Course R66. From 1999 to 2000, they completed Commercial Pilot Helicopter Germany at HFS Helikopter Flug Service Calden. From 1998 to 1999, they obtained an FAA Commercial Pilot Helicopter and FAA Certified Flight Instructor Helicopter from Hillsboro Aviation Inc. Alexander has also obtained additional certifications from various institutions, such as the Federal Aviation Administration, Airbus Helicopters, Inc., CAMP Systems International, Inc., JAA Training Organisation, ASQS - Advanced Safety and Quality Solutions, TÜV Rheinland AG, and airsight GmbH.
