John Barber is an experienced legal professional with a diverse background in commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, and litigation. At Asurion, John served as Legal Counsel for Commercial Transactions and Strategic Partnerships, utilizing expertise in legal and regulatory matters to support the Insurtech business's growth. Prior experience at UGA Finance included roles as VP of Legal & Compliance and General Counsel, where John managed contracts and ensured compliance with financial regulations. Previous positions involved representation of clients in various civil matters at Morrow, Willnauer Klosterman Church, L.L.C. and The Benson Law Firm, where John worked on personal injury and criminal defense cases. John began legal career as a Judicial Law Clerk at the 2nd Judicial Circuit of Florida. Education includes a Juris Doctorate with a Certificate in Research & Writing from Florida Coastal School of Law.
