Dilini Ekanayaka has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Dilini is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of AsyncDot since April 2022. Prior to that, they held positions at IEEE IAS Sri Lanka Chapter, where they served as a Secretary and also a Social Media Coordinator. Dilini also worked at IEEE Young Professionals Sri Lanka, taking on roles such as Editor, Assistant Secretary, and Industry Relations Coordinator. Other notable experiences include working as an Internet Researcher at Euro Tech Startups s.r.o., being a Leadership Team Member at IEEE Innovation Nation, and serving on the Leadership Team Sri Lanka at IEEE Entrepreneurship. Dilini has also been involved with organizations such as colombo startups.com and IEEE AI Driven Sri Lanka. Additionally, they have held leadership positions at IEEE SL Inspire, serving as Co-Chair and Treasurer. Lastly, they worked at Hatch Works as a Junior Associate in Program and Community, where they successfully handled two projects during a 6-month contract, including the Hatch Open House mentoring program.
Dilini Ekanayaka has a diverse educational background in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Dilini obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from De Montfort University, where they studied from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelors of Technology in the same field at the Open University of Sri Lanka from 2014 to 2019.
Before their college education, Dilini attended S.R.D.A GIRLS COLLEGE, MAHAMAYA NAGAR (HATHRAS) from 2003 to 2011, focusing on physical sciences.
Additionally, Dilini has obtained a certification in AWS Machine Learning Foundations from Udacity in October 2021.
