ATA Engineering
Marc Russell is an experienced Project Engineer at ATA Engineering, focusing on advanced materials through applied research in nonlinear, multiscale computational analysis, with particular expertise in Metallic Additive Manufacturing, Hypersonics, and Thermal Protection Systems. Prior to joining ATA Engineering, Marc worked as a Computer Aided Engineering Analysis Consultant, performing numerical analyses for biomedical device research, and completed a Ph.D. in Mechanical/Materials Engineering at UC Berkeley, where a multi-physics code for laser-fusion additive manufacturing was developed. Additional experience includes internships at SpaceX, NASA Langley Research Center, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where significant contributions were made to materials characterization and mechanical testing. Marc holds a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley.
