John Kauderer has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. John began their career as a Production Artist at Tom Nicholson Associates and Nicholson New York, where they provided art and animation support for various campaigns and won an award for best animation. John then moved on to work as an Art Director at theglobe.com, specifically for Happy Puppy, where they provided design direction for the website and marketing materials, as well as wrote and edited articles and game reviews. Later, John worked as an Art Director at Happy Puppy Games, iGames Publishing, and iGames, further developing their skills and experience in art direction.
In 2002, John joined 2K Games as a Web Designer, where they played a key role in designing and producing web marketing sites and online campaigns for popular games like BioShock, The Darkness, Civilization, and more. John then joined Atari in 2007 as an Associate Design Director, responsible for art and creative direction in print and mobile marketing campaigns. John also played a significant role in the redesign of Atari's logo and collaborated with Microsoft on the Atari Arcade, providing UX, branding, and design support.
John joined Kingpost Productions in 2013 as a Design Director, where they successfully achieved Kickstarter funding for a project called Moby Dick, or the card game, within 24 hours. This project received significant media coverage and acclaim from renowned publications like the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and Salon.
John returned to Atari in 2018 as a Senior Art Director, where they continue to work on exciting projects. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in art direction, web design, branding, and creative direction for the gaming industry.
John Kauderer attended the Rhode Island School of Design from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a focus on illustration.
