Kyle Brunner

Kyle Brunner has a diverse work experience with various roles in the legal and corporate sector. Kyle is currently working at ATCO as the Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President, Corporate Secretary at ATCO. From 2015 to 2021, Kyle worked at Seven Generations Energy Ltd. in roles such as Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, and Vice President & General Counsel. Kyle also gained experience as a Legal Counsel at Athabasca Oil Corporation from 2012 to 2015. Kyle began their career as a Corporate/Securities Lawyer at Stikeman Elliott LLP in 2009, following their time as an Articling Student and Summer Student at the same firm. Kyle started their professional journey as a Financial Analyst at Canadian Pacific Railway in 2004. Prior to that, they worked as a Manager at Apex Reforestation during the summers of 2001 and 2002.

Kyle Brunner completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance at the University of Calgary from 1998 to 2003. Following this, they pursued a Juris Doctorate degree in Law at Queen's University from 2005 to 2008. In 2009, Kyle obtained their certification as a Lawyer from the Law Society of Alberta. In 2004, they also obtained their Canadian Securities Course certification from the Canadian Securities Institute. Later, in 2018, Kyle completed the ICD-Rotman Directors Education Program, earning the ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
