David Wilkinson

David Wilkinson's work experience includes:

- Chief Strategy Officer at Assistive Technology Development, Inc. (ATDev) since October 2022.

- VP of Systems & Hardware Engineering at Vicarious Surgical Inc. from July 2020 to July 2022. During their tenure, they played a crucial role in driving the R&D team and technology to a maturity level that enabled the company to go public and raise $220M. David also built the systems & hardware group from 6 individuals to over 50.

- Chief Technology Officer at Barrett Technology from August 2003 to July 2020. David started as an engineer and progressed to CTO, playing a key role in strategic project execution and product development at the advanced robotics company.

- Robotics Engineer in 2002.

- Mechanical Engineer at BF Goodrich Aerospace from June 1998 to August 2000. David was part of a design/analysis team working on a health and usage monitoring system for military helicopters, focusing on designing and testing sensor units, creating analysis tools, and performing statistical analysis.

- Mechanical Engineer at General Scanning Inc. from March 1993 to May 1998. David was a member of the design team for a large laser-based printer for the medical industry, working on the project from concept to pre-production. David developed and tested subsystems, including optical components and mechanisms, and designed a rigid welded-aluminum frame.

David Wilkinson received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. David then pursued a Master of Science degree in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University, studying from 2000 to 2002.
