Adam Yoder has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Adam is currently working as a Sr. Research Engineer at Alphatec Spine since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Biomedical Engineer at the DoD-VA Extremity Trauma and Amputation Center of Excellence from January 2016 to September 2021, where they collaborated with healthcare providers and patients to design human subject protocols and conducted computational modeling and simulation to identify mechanics affecting patient function.
Adam also served as a Lecturer (Adjunct) at San Diego State University from August 2018 to December 2018, a Gait Laboratory Engineer at Naval Medical Center San Diego from September 2014 to January 2016, and an Engineer Intern, Research & Testing at NuVasive in August 2014.
Adam's earlier experiences include working as a Graduate Research Assistant at Colorado School of Mines from May 2012 to August 2014, serving as the NAU Chapter President of Engineers Without Borders USA from May 2011 to May 2012, and working as a Teacher's Assistant at Northern Arizona University from January 2010 to May 2012.
Additionally, they have worked as a Development Engineer at W. L. Gore & Associates from May 2011 to December 2011 and as a Mechanical Engineer at Arizona Public Service - APS in June 2010 for a short period.
Adam Yoder holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northern Arizona University. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree with a focus on Mechanical Engineering - Biomechanics Emphasis at the Colorado School of Mines.
