Atelier Aloera, also known as Aloera, is a research-oriented climate collective and artist group based in the Lower Mainland, BC. The name Aloera stems from the words “aloe vera” - shortened into this flowing form - a balm for the burning. Conveniently, the appearance of the word “era” in this form adds a layer of meaning — new beginnings, a refresh on life. Inspired by uplifting marginalized voices and filling invisible gaps, our projects aim for spiritual healing and opening minds to perspectives, both new and old.

Our maiden voyage, Kelp in Hand, aimed to ease environmental discussion in spaces challenging for vulnerable conversation. Upon realizing that the project’s core passion stemmed from solving a community issue through delivering a creative project, Aloera was born to propel more ideas with the same baseline.
