John Basile

John Basile is a seasoned program manager currently overseeing the Explosives Industry Programs Branch at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. With 22 years of law enforcement experience, including five years with the United States Air Force Security Police and 17 years with two local police departments, they held various roles such as Field Training Officer, SWAT Operator, Bomb Technician, Detective, and ATF Task Force Officer. John transitioned to the ATF in 2009, bringing extensive expertise in explosives engineering, having earned a degree from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
