James Samson has over 15 years of experience in the actuarial field, currently serving as Vice President of Valuation Modernization and previously as Vice President and Director of Model Development at Athene since February 2009. Prior to joining Athene, James held the position of Actuarial Student at Lafayette Life Insurance Company from May 2007 to February 2009 and interned as an Actuarial Intern at AmerUs Group in 2006. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Actuarial Science and Finance, and a minor in Economics from Drake University.
