Joo Eun Hwang

Joo Eun Hwang, FSA, is an experienced actuary specializing in model development and GAAP valuation at Athene since November 2020, where previous roles included Actuarial Associate III in both GAAP and Statutory Valuation. Prior to Athene, Joo Eun Hwang worked at MetLife from September 2016 to October 2020 as a Risk Management Professional and Actuarial Analysis Professional. Joo Eun Hwang also completed a summer internship at the North East Asia Research Foundation in 2014 and served as a Sergeant in the Republic of Korea Army from September 2011 to June 2013. Joo Eun Hwang holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Emory University, earned between 2010 and 2016, and attended the Korean Minjok Leadership Academy from 2007 to 2010.
