Ryan Chrystal

Ryan Chrystal, MBA, currently serves as the Director of IT Governance Risk and Compliance at Athene, a position held since September 2022. Previously, Ryan held various roles at Aegon, including Senior Manager of Technology Risk Management, and Manager of IT Risk and Internal Controls. Other experience includes roles at Pearson VUE as a Senior Security Analyst and at PwC as a Risk Assurance Senior Associate. Ryan has extensive expertise in planning and executing IT-related assessments such as IT SOX Audits and SOC engagements, and has demonstrated leadership in managing teams and adapting to new IT environments. Ryan earned a Master of Business Administration from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business in 2018 and a BBA in Accounting and MIS in 2008.
