Guillermo Chan has a diverse work experience in the field of telecommunications. Guillermo started their career in 2008 at Globe Telecom as an IP NOC Engineer, where they were responsible for monitoring and maintaining the IP Core network. Guillermo also handled first line troubleshooting and escalated to field operations when needed. In 2016, they transitioned to the role of TIER2 IP Support Engineer, where they supported level 2 escalations and worked closely with vendor support for operational issues. From 2019 to 2021, Guillermo served as a System Security Specialist at Globe Telecom, where they reviewed and implemented various security measures and created a process to block malicious URLs. Currently, they are working as a Security Operations Analyst at Atheneum, starting in 2022.
Guillermo Chan completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from De La Salle University, where they studied from 2002 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in February 2022, Huawei Certified Datacom Associate from Huawei Technologies in November 2013, and Cisco Certified Network Associate from Cisco in February 2012.
