John Mitchell

John Mitchell has an extensive work experience in product development, operations and engineering. John began their career in 1997 as a Project and Operations Manager for inno, a design consultancy. In 1999, they became the Vice President of Operations and Engineering for SOMA Blue, a start-up medical device company. In 2002, they took on the role of Director of Product Development Center at Simonton Windows & Doors. From 2009 to 2013, John Mitchell was the Director of Advanced Applications and Technical Services at Guardian Industries. Afterwards, they worked as the Vice President of Product Development at Paradigm Window Solutions from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, they became the President of Slingshot Product Development Group. From 2016 to 2019, they were the Vice President of Manufacturing and Engineering at Thompson Creek Window Company. In 2019, they became the Chief Technology Officer/Chief Operating Officer of Infrasonix, Inc. and in 2021, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Athens Research & Technology.

John Mitchell has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point, which they obtained between 1982 and 1986. John then obtained a Master of Science degree in Systems Management from Binghamton University between 1989 and 1991. In addition, they have obtained certifications from the PDMA - Product Development and Management Association in 2008, US Army in 1990, and US Army in 1987.
