Alexei Tipenko

Alexei Tipenko has had a varied work experience, beginning with a role as a Census Processing Operator at Statistics Canada in 2016. From 2017 to 2018, they held the role of Data Analyst at Lytica Inc. followed by Software Developer Co-op at Ciena in 2019. In 2020, they were an IBM/SLiDE Intern at SLiDE, and in 2021 they were a Project Lead at Human-Centred Design Institute and a UX Designer and UX Research Intern at 1VALET. Alexei is currently employed as a UX Designer / Researcher at Athlon since 2022.

Alexei Tipenko began their educational journey in 2011 when they graduated from Canterbury High School with a High School Diploma. Alexei then attended Carleton University from 2015 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. In 2021, they completed a Graduate Certificate in Interdisciplinary Studies in Human-Centred Design from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including McGill Personal Finance Essentials from McGill University - Desautels Faculty of Management (2021), Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner from IBM (2020), Evaluating Designs with Users and Understanding User Needs from Coursera (2020), and Introduction to User Experience Principles and Processes from Coursera (2020).
