Mark Redmond has a solid work experience in the finance industry. Mark is currently working as the Director of Finance & Investment, Derivatives at Athora since July 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the VP Treasury Product Control at Barclays from December 2018 to July 2020. Mark also had a long tenure at Bank of Ireland, where they held various roles including Finance Lead for Core Banking & Strategic Projects, Finance Business Partner for Group Finance, Finance Business Partner for Group Treasury, and Group Financial Accountant. During their time at Bank of Ireland, they were involved in key strategic projects such as IFRS9, CRD IV, and EDW. Mark has a strong background in financial reporting, accounting, and treasury.
Mark Redmond has a Bachelor of Commerce (Banking & Finance) degree from University College Dublin, which they obtained from 1981 to 1987. In 1990, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Treasury & Investment Banking at Dublin City University, completing it in 1992. Subsequently, between 1993 and 1996, they obtained an ACCA qualification from Dublin Business School. In 2004, Mark received a Diploma in Applied Financial Law from Dublin Law Society.
