Michael Cook

Michael Cook has a strong background in cybersecurity and information technology services. Michael has held various leadership positions, including Chief Information Security Officer and Head of Cybersecurity, where they scaled cybersecurity capabilities and established a world-class cybersecurity foundation for a large organization with employees across multiple countries. Michael has also successfully aligned global teams behind a cohesive cybersecurity strategy, reduced costs while deploying additional capabilities, and developed early career development programs. In addition to their work experience, they have taught graduate-level cybersecurity courses and has experience in penetration testing. Prior to their cybersecurity roles, Michael has held positions in IT auditing, project management, and as a police dispatcher.

Michael Cook has a Master of Science in Information Security and Policy Management (MSISPM) from Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy. Michael also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Systems from the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business. In addition, they have obtained the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification from OffSec in 2014 and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from ISC2 in September 2012.
