John Harrison is currently the Chief Engineering Geologist at AtkinsRéalis, having previously served as an Associate Engineering Geologist at Atkins from 2018 to 2024. With over 23 years of experience in the geotechnical industry, John has led geotechnical design teams across various sectors and is actively involved in technical working groups related to railway geotechnics. Additionally, John is a Chartership Assessor for the Geological Society and serves on the Industry Advisory Board for the University of Leeds Engineering Geology MSc program. John is pursuing a BSc in Geology at the University of Leicester and an MSc in Engineering Geology at the University of Leeds.
