Will Windell is a chartered mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the nuclear generation industry and a strong focus on remote handling and robotics. They began their career at Atkins, where they worked from 2013 to 2020, progressing from Junior Engineer to Senior Engineer, overseeing projects related to nuclear safety and fusion energy. Currently, as Principal Engineer and Capability Lead for Mechanical Equipment Design at AtkinsRéalis, Will is responsible for the development of a team of approximately 200 engineers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Will holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cardiff University, completed in 2013.
