Randy Hood has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Randy has held various roles in different companies, primarily in project management and design engineering.

Starting in 1997, Randy worked as an Intern Drafter at Marley Cooling Towers, where they created working drawings of tower parts and made design changes on new towers. Randy then joined Kelly Services as a Drafter, where they worked as a contractor at Sprint, creating drawings using AutoCAD and assisting engineers with red-line changes until 2001.

From 2001 to 2005, Randy served as the Office Manager/Security Technician at Family First Security, where they maintained customer databases, scheduled appointments, and managed inventory.

In 2006, Randy moved to Fleet Body Equipment as a Drafter, responsible for creating work orders and schematic drawings used in the production of building work trucks. Randy also researched and evaluated new software for the department until 2008.

Returning to the engineering field, Randy joined Atlantic Engineering Group in 2012 as a Drafter, where they worked on the FTTH/B projects, creating and editing map information for database systems and ensuring quality control. Randy later advanced to the role of Design Engineer, Level 2, before transitioning to the same role at Actavo in 2016.

At Actavo, Randy worked on the FTTH/B projects and led the Design Engineering Team. Randy was responsible for creating and editing map information and ensuring quality control across the networks. Randy eventually became an Associate Project Manager before joining Atlantic Engineering Group again in 2019, this time as a Project Manager.

Overall, Randy Hood has gained extensive experience in project management, design engineering, drafting, and security over their career.

Randy Hood pursued their education in a chronological manner. Randy attended Johnson County Community College from 1996 to 1999, where they obtained an Associate of Science degree in Drafting Technology. After a brief gap, in 2006 Randy took a refresher course in AutoCAD at Kansas City Community College. In 2012, Randy earned certification as an AutoCAD 2012 Certified Associate from Autodesk.
