Shonda Thompson

Shonda Thompson is an experienced regulatory compliance and corporate licensing professional with a background in managing complex licensing and compliance initiatives across various industries. From 2001 to 2007, Shonda served as Licensing Manager at RARE Hospitality International, Inc., overseeing the acquisition and maintenance of over 1,500 alcohol beverage licenses. Following this, they held the position of Compliance & Licensing Manager at Credigy from 2014 to 2017, leading the Licensing Team to achieve 100% compliance with multiple financial regulations. Currently, Shonda is the Senior Manager of Regulatory Compliance at Atlanticus, where they lead compliance governance processes, significantly reducing audit findings and enhancing business practices. Shonda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science/Education from Spelman College and a Juris Doctorate from Indiana University Bloomington.
