Thomas Beach

A Managing Director of Beach Investment Counsel, Inc., Mr. Beach began his career in 1964 as an investment research analyst and then held various portfolio management and executive positions at a major institutional investment management firm. In 1996, he formed Beach Investment Counsel, Inc., an SEC-registered investment adviser, to manage the financial assets of families and foundations. He received a BA in economics with honors from the University of Michigan in 1962 and an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1964. Mr. Beach currently serves as a director/trustee of Atlas Network, Reason Foundation, Commonwealth Foundation, Snider Foundation, Dunn Foundation, Donors Trust, and Pennsylvania Lumberman’s Mutual Insurance Company. He previously served as Chairman of both Reason Foundation and Property and Environment Research Center, and as a board member of Eisenhower Fellowships, The Haverford School, Philadelphia Youth Tennis, Laurentian Capital, and the International Lawn Tennis Club.
