Thom Stricklin

Solution Engineer at Atmosol

Thom Stricklin has held a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2002. In 2002, they created SmartPopcorn and in 2007, they created Escher, a PHP MVC Framework. From 2003 to 2013, they worked for Mesa Public Schools, beginning as a Helpdesk Specialist in the Special Education Department and eventually becoming Web Programmer Supervisor. During this time, they co-created Architeck, Mesa's in-house CMS and web application framework, and maintained multiple web servers, database and file servers, Flash Media Server, ffmpeg encoder and lighttpd streaming server in a high-traffic production environment. Thom also supported Gmail and Google Apps for 6000 employees including transition from legacy POP services. From 2013 to present, Thom has worked for atmosol, beginning as a Solution Engineer. In this role, they have gathered requirements, planned, and architected custom SaaS-based products as well as custom web applications for e-commerce merchants. Thom has also conducted technical pre-sales calls, gathered requirements, planned, estimated, and presented proposals for solutions to prospective and current clients for e-commerce website implementations, custom application development, and support. Thom has since held roles as Lead Development Engineer, Senior Web Developer, and Web Developer.

Thom Stricklin attended Red Mountain High School from 1998 to 2000. Thom then attended Arizona State University from 2000 to 2003, where they studied Computer Science and Graphic Information Technology.
