Xin Xie has worked in the field of quantum engineering since 2021, when they began working as a Sr. Quantum Engineer and Quantum Engineer at Atom Computing. Prior to this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at Caltech in 2020. From 2014 to 2013, Xie was a Graduate Research Assistant at JILA, where they specialized in quantum state control and readout of neutral atoms. During this time, they collaborated with Cold Atom Laboratory (CAL) at JPL/NASA, University of Cambridge, JQI/University of Maryland, Washington State University, and Durham University. From 2013 to 2011, Xie was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder. Finally, from 2011 to 2013, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Fudan University, where they studied the mechanism of superconductivity in iron-based high-temperature superconductors. During this time, Xie acquired proficiency in the technique of atomic force microscopy (AFM).
Xin Xie attended Fudan University from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics. Xin then attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 2013 to 2020, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics.
