Blanché Carstens has been working in the software engineering industry since 2007. Blanché began their career at FACE Technologies as a Project Co Ordinator & Systems Tester. In 2009, they moved to Old Mutual where they worked as a Senior Software Test Analyst/Lead. In 2012, Blanché joined Visa as a QA Engineer. Blanché then moved to Allan Gray Proprietary Limited in 2015, where they worked as a Senior Software Test Analyst. Blanché is currently employed at Atom Learning as a QA Automation Engineer.

Blanché Carstens has a varied educational background. Blanché attended Norman Henshilwood High from 1997 to 2001 and obtained their Grade 12. Blanché then attended Cape Peninsula University of Technology from 2003 to 2006, where they earned a Certificate in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General. In 2003 and 2004, they attended Computer Consortium and earned a Certificate in ICDL. In 2007, they attended Test and Data Services and earned a Certificate in Practical Software Testing course. In 2009, they attended UNISA and earned a Certificate in Software Project Management. In 2011, they attended ILAB training centre and earned a Certificate in ISTQB. In 2012, they attended IBM Offices and participated in an IBM WebSphere Workshop. Blanché also attended Expert Academy in 2012 and earned a Certificate in Agile Project Management Principles, and attended SQS in 2013 and earned a Fundamentals of Test Automation Certificate. Lastly, they attended Learnfast Sandton in 2013 and participated in an MBA Orientation. Blanché is also currently enrolled in UNISA and is working towards a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Business Informatics. Additionally, they have obtained a Front-end Foundations certification from Code School.
